About the President

El-Bethel Buyanzi is a Civil Engineering student at the Technical University of Kenya and currently serves as the President of the Association of Engineering Construction and Architecture Students (AECAS). His leadership philosophy is grounded in excellence, service, transparency, and student empowerment.

He has been actively involved in association's leadership, hosting events, coordinating interdisciplinary engineering activities, and promoting professional development opportunities for students. His vision is to strengthen the bridge between classroom knowledge and real-world engineering practice.

Vision & Mission

Vision: To position AECAS as the leading student-driven engineering, construction and architecture body in Kenya, fostering academic excellence, innovation, and industry exposure.

Mission:

To empower engineering, construction and architecture students with skills, mentorship and exposure.
To strengthen partnerships between students and industry professionals.
To promote innovation, integrity, inclusivity and professional growth.

Major Initiatives & Achievements

Here are some initiatives led or coordinated by El-Bethel:

GIS Forest Management Visit – Hosted a student engagement event focused on the role of geospatial technologies in sustainable forest management.
Industry Exposure Programs – Coordinated site visits and engineering, architecture and construction workshops to introduce students to real-world construction practices.
Inter-Department Collaboration – Launched activities connecting students from Engineering, Architecture, Construction, and related fields.
Student Support Initiatives – Advocated for student welfare, academic support, and inclusive leadership within AECAS and the Technical University.
